You have your information incorrect, Q is not the designation for diodes, Q657 would be a transistor. First give us the correct number for the diode and how do you know it is shorted?

Press and hold for a few Seconds the 2nd Button from the left on the front of the TV. The auto tune menu will appear on the bottom right of the screen. Wait until it disappears and then check the channels by using the buttons on the remote.

You have a blown fuse. It should be a GMA7 amp or a 5 amp. You could try to replace it and see if your TV works again. If it blows the fuse again, then there is something shorted causing the fuse to blow. Then call a good TV Tech.

if it gets taken out in less than a minute or instantly you may have a cap in the horizontal driver circuit way down in value or open kvf1 is not a good model number in the Sony data base--year and model will be on back of set--KV says it is a direct view or crt type set.
