Hi, last night we had been cooking loads, and we heard a small bang and the hob went off, we have the hob fitted over the oven which had also been working most of the day, we can't remember if there were fuses underneath the hob when we fitted it, and could this possibly be the problem? thanks very much Denise Long

I take it the two fuses you mention were the house fusebox and the fuse in the outlet in your kitchen? If you know the mains is getting to the hob and nothing at all is lighting up on the panel then this sounds like a job for the professionals. I can't find any mention of a reset button or user acessable fuse in the manual. The only thing left to do is check the main wire connection underneath the hob - if it is accessable. (switch off at the wall first!) Assuming you are in the UK Service force telephone number is 08705 929 929 Hope this helps.

I have had exactly the same problem this morning, a small bang/pop then error E3. The earliest the AEG repairer can come is next week.
Hob is less than 2 years old and in the UK.
