Hob is not working and showing error notice E3

Hi, last night we had been cooking loads, and we heard a small bang and the hob went off, we have the hob fitted over the oven which had also been working most of the day, we can't remember if there were fuses underneath the hob when we fitted it, and could this possibly be the problem? thanks very much Denise Long

I have had exactly the same problem this morning, a small bang/pop then error E3. The earliest the AEG repairer can come is next week.

Hob is less than 2 years old and in the UK.

SOURCE: Hob light up.

I take it the two fuses you mention were the house fusebox and the fuse in the outlet in your kitchen? If you know the mains is getting to the hob and nothing at all is lighting up on the panel then this sounds like a job for the professionals. I can't find any mention of a reset button or user acessable fuse in the manual. The only thing left to do is check the main wire connection underneath the hob - if it is accessable. (switch off at the wall first!) Assuming you are in the UK Service force telephone number is 08705 929 929 Hope this helps.

E3 problem in Prestige induction cook top

That error means the voltage sensor has detected higher voltage then should be present. This means power supply is bad.

I was boiling water for potatoes on the Electrolux induction cooktop last night. Only using one of the five burners when I heard a "pop" sound and possibly a flash of light. Error code we have is EO

Hi Gail, I am happy to assist you!

It appears the main control has detected a faulty or error condition. "E0" should be followed by two more digits to indicate which error has occurred. Let's try turning electrical power supply off. It is necessary to wait roughly ten minutes to reset cook-top main controls. If resetting the power does not correct the issue or provides a new error code, at this point, I would recommend having a service technician to diagnose the problem before investing in unnecessary parts.

Hi I have a Samsung ceramic hob that when I have the oven on and cooking veg in saucepans it cuts out randomly displaying SE flashing I'm guessing its overheating but how can I fix this ? It makes

An SE error message on the display of a Samsung ceramic hob means the control panel sensor has been on for too long.
There are a few reasons why the sensor could be saying it's been on for too long:
  • Touching the key area for more than 10 seconds.
  • Leaving a wet cloth on the touch key area.
  • Spilling a liquid on the key area.
  • By touching 2 or more keys together. All of these can be fixed by turning the hob power off at the wall, then back on again.

My Neff induction hob has prgressiely getting worse. All the lights start flashing and only hob will work. But after 10 mins the other hobs start working. The flasing gets worse if you try to start with...

Hi, if you take off the magnetic knob & let it flash a little longer, then switch off & on again it will work. Ours is doing the same. The book says it needs cleaning, as do the customer services people but I've cleaned & cleaned it & I assure you it's spotless. You don't have to wait 10 minutes though to start cooking, just 1 after switching off. It is very annoying though & I think we will be getting an engineer out to look at it.

The locking function holds the current settings, or prevents anyone from starting the hob. It is also used for cleaning the control strip as the controls can be locked without the hob being on. To lock the hob : -Press the on/off button     . -Press simultaneously " - " button and " + " button of the front right zone (PVD 633 front left zone), and then press again on the " + " button of this zone. The hob is locked, the locking indicator " L " is displayed on all zones for 20 seconds. To unlock the hob : -Press the on/off button      . The locking indicator " L " is displayed on all zones. -Press simultaneously the " - " button and the " + " button of the front right zone (PVD 633 front left zone), and then press again on the " - " button of this zone.
