I have a sceptre x20g-naga iii and i want to hook it to my direct TV box which does not have RBG capabilities. how can i hook up either an s video cable or the standard red and white cable output from direct tv box to the monitor?

They should be fairly generic and most major electronics stores should have them.

When im gaming, about every 5 minutes, the screen just turns off
What type of video card do you have, sounds like it could be several things at this point. I recommend checking you have the latest video card drivers, and that your video card is being kept cool, as well as the inside of your PC case.

X20G-Naga III screen goes blank after 1-2 secs
FIXED!
Device : Spectra X20WG-Naga
Problem : monitor comes on then flickers then goes off
solution: Replace Capacitor C101 (150uf, 35V) and Fets U101 and U102 (4511GM)
Comments: This is a common problem with this monitor.

Sceptre monitor will not return from idle.
The only workaround was to not use the DVI cable but to use the old VGA cable. You still get the same resolution.
I have a different ATI board, so I'm thinking it's an ATI+Sceptre on DVI input bug. Anyway, use the VGA cable, it'll work.
