To reformat it (assuming you have or have access to a Windows computer) all you must do is plug in the mp3 player to the computer. Go to "My Computer". Right click on your mp3 player and select "Format" or "Reformat". If it asks you what type of partition you should use, choose "FAT32". Most mp3 players use this. If you know for a fact that your mp3 player used a different partition type, choose it. Otherwise, choose FAT32. The computer will do the rest. After reformatting, you may have to download the firmware again. If you can't play songs after reformatting, this is probably why. To get the firmware, try going to the website of the company that manufactures your mp3 player.
