To reformat it (assuming you have or have access to a Windows computer) all you must do is plug in the mp3 player to the computer. Go to "My Computer". Right click on your mp3 player and select "Format" or "Reformat". If it asks you what type of partition you should use, choose "FAT32". Most mp3 players use this. If you know for a fact that your mp3 player used a different partition type, choose it. Otherwise, choose FAT32. The computer will do the rest. After reformatting, you may have to download the firmware again. If you can't play songs after reformatting, this is probably why. To get the firmware, try going to the website of the company that manufactures your mp3 player.

How to format an RCA OPAL m4002RDA

Reformating will take all your songs off I think.

If your trying to put songs on
Plug your mp3 player in, open my computer, open RCA and drag songs to the correct folder.

If that didn't help or you need more help, please respond.

Good luck.

Ilo mp3 player 1 gb

if there are no license issues with the songs you want to put on the player bypass media player and just drag and drop them in a file manager. it's all in the instructions. http://www.lenoxx.com/2005/mp3player/mp556.htm if you have a ilo model mp-556 (on the back cover) this page has links to the firmware and manuals etc... i follow the instruction and got mine working. u might need to use the reformat as well as the upgrade firmware to make your list read the same. reformating will set your storage area back to factory specs. i e delete all your songs on your player
