I have a 52" Bravia, it recently started having a green vertical line down the left side when I turn it on after being off for many hours. The green line lasts about 15-20 minutes, long enough for the tv to warm up I guess. Do you have any ideas or suggestions on what this problem could be or how to possibly fix this? I still owe quite a bit of money on this tv

if its only one channel its your cable service, if its constant try unpluging your tv from the wall for 30 seconds to reset it, also try reconnecting any AV cables for the source you are using, If you are using a Coaxial cable unscrew it and check to see the copper needle is not bent or damaged.
if this was a projection type tv the cause is in the convergence section. it could be bad convergence ic or a change in value resistor which mean the resistance get high.
If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured there are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

Thats a pixel data problem, there's no data being sent to that row of pixels so they don't change color. This is a pixel address registry (PAR) issue and the PAR circuits need to be serviced its usually due to open or shorted SMT components on the PAR circuits. PAR also sends data, voltage, and control to each pixel, the green line you see are pixels that have voltage but because there's no data sent too them their all green because there's no control. If the pixels have voltage but no data or control they show up as green red, blue, yellow, or whit line vertically down the LCD panel. The vertical-horizontal section of PAR are controlled by 16 to 32 bit micro-controllers which may need replacing. If its under warranty take it back if not have your local repair center fix the tv for you...
the problem is vertical collapse,i am not so sure you can trouble shoot this on your own but you can send the board to eithor pts electronics or tristate module for repair
