How do i hook up my new cable box for descrambling to my vcr

If the cable box has audio and video outputs on it then use RCA type cables to connect the outputs of the cable box into the video and audio IN of the back of the VCR. Then select L1 on the VCR. If your TV has video and audio input connectors connect another set of cables form the VCR OUT to the IN puts of the TV, then select the AV inputs on the TV. If your TV doesn't have video and audio inputs, then use a coax cable from the RF/Antenna OUT of the VCR and connect it to the antenna jack on the TV. Now select 3or4 on the VCR to whatever works for your location and tune the TV to that same channel. That's it ...you now can watch and record the channel you're watching. You will have to have the VCR powered up all the time to watch TV

I have Time Warner cable. I have a Symphonic SR90VE vcr/dvd that I have hooked up to the main TV. The cable box services a second tv in another room. I can't seem to get the main tv and the vcr/dvd player...

Cable goes to vcr cable INPUT, then run cables from vcr OUPUT to tv INPUT or AV.

Then put tv on input or av channel or channel 4 and use put the vcr on the channel you want to record.

Need the remote code for a phillips dvd player

These are the codes printed in the owners manual for your dvd/vcr player. If they do not work you will have to contact Emerson and ask them for help getting the code. The contact number should have come with the instructions for the remote. Just give them the model number of you remote and the units model number and they should be able to help you. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Switch the input selector on your TV to an appropriate external input channel (usually near channel 0).
Press a button on the TV’s original remote control that selects an external input channel until the DVD
recorder’s picture appears. Check your TV owner’s manual for details.

Dvd hookup to phillips tv without inputs

Have yourself a VCR that has a Scart input, or Video in, and feed the DVD in there. Connect your TV to the VCR, and tune it in to the video channel, using aerial lead and tuner.

When you flick VCR to AV1 (or similar) you should see the DVD appear on the TV Video Channel :)

No signal

You need to find which is the right channel. It is usually AV2. However make sure you plugged in all the cables to right places. Also, call your cable company and ask them which channel might be, since this new HD tv are so different.

One more thing, If you have a VCR/DVD connected to the TV, you need to check the channel of the VCR/DVD
