The left side door to will not latch. I screwed the door in, and it wouldn't latch. The right side looks identical and it is fine. The only thing I can tell is that maybe the latch on the door may be a bit loose and just won't snap to the peg in the refrigerator.
How can I fix this?
Thanks,
Jim

That stands for a defrost heater problem. Usually it's the defrost detect circuit that has a blown thermal fuse.

Same thing happened to us today. Call LG customer service they should offer you a one tiome extension on the warranty for parts only. DON'T ACCEPT! Tell them you need labor AND parts. I suspect there are a batch of bad relays in these refrigerators and they know it.

There is a service bulletin related to this, dealing with deformation / melting of the lamp cover. The fix is to change the lamp wire harness to one that now has a thermal protector incorporated in it (part number 6621JK2003B) along with changing the main PCB board to one that uses a larger relay for this function (part number 6871JB1423N).
In case you want or need to replace the following,
The lamp cover is part number 3110JA1096A and the lamp holder is part number 3034JA1009A
I tried to cut and paste a few photo's, but was unsuccessful. Sorry. Make sure to test that fans and light switches work after part changes.

Try to raise by adjust the 2 front footing slightly higher than the back, this will tilt the unit slightly backwards. That will help the door to close back by itself.
