SOURCE: How do I thread the film through an 8mm B&H Projector

http://www.folkstreams.net/vafp/stream.php?id=97

It's about four and a half minutes long, and shows how to clean the various components that need cleaning beforehand as well as how to thread the projector.

However, I wish you good bloody luck on finding a bulb, if you don't have one that still works. From the look of the unit, it uses a DAR bulb, which was delisted (read: went out of production) thirty years ago. You can sometimes find new old-stock (NOS) DAR bulbs on eBay, but expect to pay $30 to $35 apiece plus shipping for them.

SOURCE: projector lamp burn out

What bulb code (usually a 3 letter code) or the model number I cannot say. Sometimes that info is written on the inside cover that covers the bulb, sometimes it is in the instruction manual. It is almost always written on the bulb.

Re Keystone 68 projectors:
I join the growing throngs of folks who wish to view their family archives in 8 mm before submitting the reels to the digitals for conversion. Doesn't anyone have an answer for us? I continue to search, if I find, I'll post.

Hi, my dad's Kodak Brownie 8 A15 regular 8mm film projector has an issue with the knob. It will turn to the rewind position but not Project. Does it have to be pushed in ? I hate to force it.

http://www.grantmillar.net/kodak-brownie8-manual-15-g-version1.pdf. Doesn't seem to need it. Check to make sure the knob hasn't turned ie off is project and rewind is off and there is another setting after rewind.

Kodak m67 8mm movie projector struck in rev lever can be move to forward but miss run backwards

it is hard to explain but there is a metal pin on one of the mechanisms it can become bent out of place. you need to remove it and heat it up and put back straight. dont try to bend it straight as it will snap or the pin will come out of the metal part.

Pulled projector apart because it appeared to be getting hot.

There is no way to know what model and the lense arrangement over the phone. what you need to do is contact Kodak archives;they will need the model and perhaps fax to you an exploded diagram that shows the lense position and orientiation. Otherwise, you can contact some older photoshops that used to deal with this stuff and perhaps there will be someone whois still in the business from several years back and can fax you the diagram. Ekatagraphic slide projector that won't advance the carosel forward or backward. it will pop a slide up and down. it sounds jammed it humms when buttons are depressed any ideas?

The most common causefor the failure of the slide tray to advance or reverse is the breakageof this small Link (part # 217769). It fits on the end of the solenoid actuator arm and is held in place by a Rivet (part # 159943). Thereplacement of this part does not take a rocket scientist, however, amoderate mechnical aptitude skill is required.
This Set contains 1 Link and 1 Rivet. If your projector Does NOT have a focus motor in it, then this is the kit for you. If your projector does have a focus motor, please order "KODAK-KIT" From: https://www.micro-tools.com/store/item_detail.aspx?ItemCode=LINK
