try to clean the lens using cd cleaner or cotton buds with drop of water on it. that really works.

Venturer - PDV880 9901321 The Disc goes too fast. It started OK then all of a sudden stopped working. Put another dvd in and does the same thing. We have used this 4 times. Got it as a gift. Don't know where they bought it.

If your DVD player has a VIDEO IN RCA jack it should work.
If it doesn't-then I'm sorry to say , you are out of luck.
