You need to check the voltage output of your power supply section. This power supply supply is a switching type power supply.there is a chopper transformer in there.its supply is a dc voltage unlike any other transformer which is AC supplied on the primary..First step.
1.Using a multitester measure the primary supply it is a DC voltage around 220v - 110 VDC
2.Measure the secondary output. The out put is AC voltage the supply for the B+ going to plyback is 115vdc the second output is 12v run through a regulator and the regulator lower the voltage to 5vdc.this 5vdc supplies the system IC and the jungle IC.this ic process the switching of the plyback transformer and the plyback transformers output supplies the voltage of the whole system including your relay in the degaussing section....once the plyback is activated the tv will now turn on...

good luck!Hope i helped you..

please rate my help..god bless!

Wont turn on just clicks

The click is the manual relay inside the set------you may have a short somewhere (fuse should be good if power relay clicks) or a loss of high voltage.

Proscan 27" tv

if you want to eliminate magnetism, you have to degauss the screen, if you don't know how to do that, here is a small guide for that: http://www.wikihow.com/Degauss-a-Computer-Monitor

but that strange shutting down its the transistor... so your best choice is to send it to a repairman to change the transistor..
if you try to do that for your self, you could even get shocked with the electricity contained in the tv... even if its turned off and unplugged..

Clicks when i turn it on like it always has but now almost immediately clicks again shutting it off and then repeats click on and click off and then remains off. what is wrong? RCA Model f27665

Hi... maybe some loose solder or there's a defective part that tripping the circuit protection of the power supply circuit. If soldering don't solve the problem. some parts must be defective. you have to be familiar with TV parts and testing components to do this job, the regulator IC should be checked if still good then also the horizontal output transistor. these two are common causes of tripping in power supply section. many parts and replacement for these components available in the market. thanks......hope this help marmeto12_22.jpg

Rca TV MODEL #F31633SB NO PWR AFER BLOWING AC LINE FUSE

Some RCA models had problems with there degauss circuits drawing to much current at turn on. You can change the fuse to see if it will work for a while. If it immediately blows the fuse at turn on or at plug in, there is a hard short somewhere. If it works for a while and blows the fuse again, take it to a repair shop and have them modify the degauss circuit. An up to date shop will know what to do. Should not be expensive.

Tv shut down and wont power back up, but circuits stay powered up

Check to see that the fuse is good. If so, test power supply. It is common for these to go out..

RCA TV Model F32444 Will not power on

The noise you are hearing is probably the degauss (it demagnetises the screen every startup). The most likely problem is the power supply. Do a replacement of all the caps on the powersupply board and it will likely fix your problem. Because it still has power to the degauss coils it hasn't blown the fuse. Power supply not starting like that is usually caused by a small electrolytic capacitor near the heatsink on the mains side of the powersupply. They can be replaced for about 10 cents.
Hope this helps

Sony tv wont turn on, standby light just flashes

check for an open resistor on the power supply, it is actually a fusible resistor, (white) if open, then check the converter, some sets have two separate and some have it as one. it will be on a heat sink on the power supply. if shorted then check for a shorted horizontal output transistor and repair cold solder joints on the horizintal drive transformer which is the real cause of this problem

My tv will not turn on

Sounds like a bad flyback transformer . Whats the model # . These are common problems with those sets . Does it click then clicks right back off ? If so this is your problem . good luck

TV Clicks on over and over

When you get this "click" it is the power supply trying to start. This indicates a short somewhere. Most of the time it is the horizontal output transistor and probably the flyback transformer that have shorted. Stargazer

Powers off by itself

Usually leaky power supply diode and two bad caps-----need service # and chassis # from sticker on back of set .....T.
