Hello, I am having the same problem with my Mitsubishi WS-55313 rear projection TV. It will not power up, no lights will come on or blink on the front (even after pressing the menu + input together for a period of time). I have tried different outlets, left unit unplugged for several hours, and do not see any blown capacitors. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Ginko

Hi.

If there is no power at all, and TV iscompletely dead, then it is either power cord or power supply.

If after the fault the TV went in standby and does not wake up, then the TV has on protect mode after detecting a fault.
When this happens higher voltages are shut down to prevent further damage

In that case follow the indications here Why my TV does not start up and remains in standby.

The best way to contact an authorized technician is by ringing the number listed on the owners manual.

Try first the troubleshooting proposed in link above. If that does not work, ringPhilips customer service.

For parts try Partstore.

Regards.

There could be few reasons that tv does not power On.
Power supply board got fried, deflection section got bad if its rear projection tv and if its dlp tv, lamp could be dead etc.
Model number and brand of your tv will show us what kind of tv is that to provide you some helpful info about problem.

Won't turn off

Unplug it directly from the wall & if it still wont turn off then you'll need to find the portal to the Otherside and go there and unplug the poltergeist version of your TV from the wall as well. This should fix it.

65" mitsubishi rear projection tv won't turn

IF model number posted is correct and green power light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off:
On front of set press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code is found and I will tell you what it means.

Hello,

power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

I hope this will help out in solving the problem....

our hitachi did the same thing. It cost us 300.00 to tell us that there were two bad solder joints and they caused a power surge or something.
