It's a connection somewhere. It could be the cable, monitor, or video card. If you have an alternate input on the monitor try that with a different cable. If you have another output on the video card try that. Just mix things up as much as possible.

Odds are there are some smashed pins.

My HP monitor is giving me solid colors on the screen

If you have 3 solid bars of colour on the screen (red, green and blue) you should check your signal input cable is connected properly. Try another cable if you can get one.

The screen is bad.... They do not like being dripped. At this point, I would run an external monitor for color. A new screen will be roughly $300 or so.

Green horizontal

I believe that you must reset the colors of the screen by the buttons on it or try to set colors by the software that the product came with it if any. There should be a setting to configure the 4 basic colours like red green black etc. Try to adjust green. If nothing helpes go the monitor back to test it by the store you bought it if there is warranty. Hope that helped!

however, check thoroughly for dry soulderings..(esp. at the crt base)..[this chance is maximum]..
see if the base is loose or faulty..
yes, it can b the 'chroma ic'..but don't ignore the associated components..(esp around the base)..
check video amplifier n sub section..
the colour diodes, transistors n resistances at the base..

My monitor's color is mixed with the color yellow

There is an option on the monitor to reset colour to factory default. Just bring up the on screen menu by pressing the left most button at the botton. Use the button next to this to highlight the colour settings which I think is the 5th or next to last option down. You will then see the option to reset colour and various other factory default settings. Happy computing

No red colour in my lg lcd monitor ..red colour setting doesnt bring any change i screeen..pls suggest some solution

it is very simple, by default in monitor circuit RGB (Red, Green, Blue) tube is installed. and in combination of both of three colors we are able to view colorful image. due to non functionalty of Red color u r not able to view red color in screen, either you replace picture tube or purchase new monitor. coz cost of this tube is equal to monitor.

Hi my monitors screen becomes yellowish.all colour effected y dis

Hi,
Do you have a CRT monitor?
Have you tried to adjust the color on the monitor?
How is it connected to your computer?
It sound like one of the guns on you monitor died. But there is some testing you should do first.
If it is a CRT monitor and it is connect your computer properly. First thing to do would be to replace the cable and or try a different monitor that you know works.
To confirm try adjusting the color. If that does not work, if it more purplish it is the green gun, if it is orangish it is the Blue gun. That would be cause by a failed gun or driver.
If the gun is gone it is best to get a new one. It will save you money in the long run.

Thank you...
