Im haveing the same exact problem on the same exact machine... I have taken all the pannels off, and drained the water. I was wondering if there may be a way that the pump lost it's prime and needs to be re-primed? (wishfull thinking on my part.) There was no indication that the pump burnt out, it just stopped working instantly with no symptoms. The other functions seem to work, it will agitate the laundry, and then will just stop when it comes to the pump cycle. Any help is appreciated. Thank You.

GE GSLS1100 Spacemaker won't spin or drain. Washes fine then makes a rattleling noise during spincycle.

Solved: There was a piece of fabric caught in the water drain pump. Opened the cap at the back bottom right of the washer and pulled it out. Worked fine after that.

Washer won't spin and empty the water out of the

Shirley, it may be the drain pump is obstructed or possibly the lid switch is broken. If you washed bath mats or rubber backed rugs recently i would go for the pump. If you washed a semi bulky item with a tendency to float I would go for the switch.

GE SpaceMaker washing machine does not stop filling.

try replacing your water selenoid coming in. remember it isnt a mechanical timer it is a computerized timer, so if the selenoid isnt the problem, it might be the computerized timer. computers are very finicky, pain in the a- -!

Washer won't drain or spin

Probably a bad drain valve. As long as the tub is still full of water, the controls will not allow it spin, refill, etc. Have a service technician check the drain valve.
