Make sure the stainless bar running across the top is snug on the left and right groove. It has a shut off switch when not installed properly.

If you go onto the website powerjuicer.com scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on customer care. You can then select the option Power Juicier Manuals and select the model you have and print it. Hope that helps!

I didn't have the appropriate "crescent tool" either, so I took a small screwdriver and while holding on to the outer orange sieve, I rotated the inner piece counter clockwise and it loosened so that I could fully disassemble the machine.

a tool is provide to rlease grating cone. if lost use a pointed scussors.
