8 year old GE Nautilus. Recently glasses started to finish foggy and dirty. I am using Cascade. I checked and cleaned some clogs in the spinners but still have same problem. I am not sure if the upper drawer is getting sprayed/rinsed from the top correctly. Ideas?
MOST OF THE TIME "FOGGY GLASS" IS A RESULT OF SOAP BUILD UO IN THE DISHWASHER. IF YOU HAVE A WATER SOFTENER AND FILL THE SOAP CUP ALL THE WAY THEN THIS IS THE CASE. FILL A COFFEE CUP WITH WHITE VINEGAR AND PLACE IT ON THE UPPER RACK, RUN AN EMPTY LOAD ON HEAVY DUTY WASH, THIS WILL STOP THE PROBLEM, YOU MIGHT NEED TO REPEAT IT 2-3 TIMES BUT IT WILL WORK, AFTER THAT JUST USE AS LITTLE SOAP AS YOU CAN, IN MY GE I USE POWDERED CASCADE BUT ONLY FILL THE SOAP CUO TO THE BOTTOM LINE, WORKS GREAT. GOOD LUCK
Hi,
I have an older dishwasher also and recently my wife also complained about it not cleaning right... so me being the man I am tried in vain to clean the things... Bought new spray arms online and installed them in minutes...now the thing works like new... However I have also found that if the heating element goes bad then that also can mess things up bad... So I would buy new spray arms, and also check out the heating element to make sure it is working... Here is a tip that will help you with the online buying...
