i have the same problem. after i clear data in application on settings my picture album have lost, but since i restart my xperia, the picture came back.
1ST IS :
1-Turn off your Sony Ericsson Xperia 2-Remove the battry and replace it back in 3-Press anda hold down the left and right silver buttons just under the screen 4-With the stylus,press in the hole on the right side of tehe battery 5-After 10 seconds,you will be prompted to press the R key on your silide-ou keyboard 6-If successful press the Space Key on your slide-out keyboard to finalise changes
2nd IS :1 From the Xperia 10 Home screen, tap the applications bar. 2 Tap Settings > SD card & phone storage > Factory data reset > Reset phone. 3 Enter your screen unlock pattern. 4 Tap Erase everything.
Done! Now, You can reset your Xperia X10 to its factory default settings.

Hello,why the phone is still shutting down is because the cell of the battery is weak and can power on the phone for to long, that's why it shots down so quick,
You will need to replace battery with a new one for longer talk hours.
Make sure you charge battery for 6hours before use.
For Xperia Mini user, you must be realize than there is no way you can Transfer file via bluetooth withouth help of third party application. Don't be frustated you can transfer file usingbluetooth with Xperia Mini using Bluetooth File Transfer. Go to Android Market and search for "Bluetooth File Transfer" download and install it.

Download and install 'Astro File Manager' from the market for free.
Connect phone to pc and save the app or game you want to install to your SD card.
Disconnect phone from pc.
Go into Astro on the phone - you can now browse your SD card or phone.
Browse to the game or app and click on it.
Select 'Open App Manager' and you then have an option to install.
Once the app is installed, you can use the same procedure to un-install it.
NOTE - if you're downloading Android apps from the internet rather than the market, a lot of them are not actually compatible with the X10, but there are some really good ones out there.
