Often the original batteries go bad, for whatever reason, I suggest you simply obtain a NEW Brand Name battery and install that, charge it up as per manual MOST IMPORTANT that first charge, then hopefully it will be all OK.

Before you do anything, please try it with another battery, if the other battery has the same problem, then there's internal faulty. Perhaps the charging ic. (Let's not guess, it the power ic). It can be modified, I would suggest you to get it done from a mobile repairing shop. Good luck. Thank you for using FixYa.

Try to replace a new and tested one..if still fast drain your nokia 6300 is shorted and need to remove the shorted parts..thanks

Hello,

When your phone shows charging not supported. First, you need to try a another battery on the phone, if it says the same thing, then try to use another charger, and if it shows the same thing, then you need to fix the charging port of the phone.

Before you do that, test, your battery and charger on another phone to see what happens, if they both work fine, then you need to fix the charging port of the phone.

My Nokia 6300 shutd down itself. can happen up to 4 times per day. For no reason I take it our of my pocket and it has switched off. Then it is getting harder to switch on.

this could be due to 1) phone data is corrupted 2) Battery terminals are dirty and needs to be cleaned 3) Battery life running out or simply the phone needs some cleaning due to moisture accumulation check these out
