In December 2009 I purchased an Emerson Microwave model MW8119SBM. The other day it just stopped working. All the lights on it went out. I tried plugging it into other outlets that were known to be good and that didn't help. Is there any warranty on this?

1) test the power cord for open or break
2( test the fuse for open
3) test the door switch for defective or open, or crack door and repair or repalce.

Microwave starts but doesn't give heat

you have the following problems:
1) internal switch 2) high circuit problem 3) control board , i recomend you call to some service tech. see the diagram attached.

You'd have to consult your manual to know about the warranty but it could be a simple fuse inside the microwave. If you get the cover off and look somewhere near the cord you should find a fuse it may be bad.
