Hi,

Would you be able to View Recorded images / Video's ?

If yes, this is a Faulty CCD Sensor. This is a Common Problem on almost all the Brands like Sony, Kodak, Canon. There were Certain Recalls by almost all the Brands ONLY for this Defect. You need to Call Canon to Confirm the same whether this is Under Recall or not. If not, you could negotiate on the price for Repair.

For more, I have an Old Article :-

http://www.imaging-resource.com/badccds.html

If you are Seeing the Same Problem, when you play Saved images/ Video's, then this is a Bad LCD Panel. You need to get it replaced. To be really honest, if this is the Case, better to Purchase a New Camera as the Cost to Repair this would be more than $100.

Note - It seems that this a Combination of Multiple Hardware Fault as the Lens won't shut all the way.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Problem with my Olympus FE-230

When I turn my camera on, the lens goes in and out a few times. Once it's finally on and I look at the screen, everything is blurry. When I take the picture, it's blurry too. If I try to use the zoom to adjust, the lens starts going in and out all crazy and won't adjust right.

Hi i turn the camera on and have a blurry screen

Zoom motor in lens assembly is jammed and you need to replace complete lens assembly. DSC-T1 is an old camera so oes not worth to repair.

I have a kodak m1033 turns on then shuts right off

I'm not sure why this works for me, but I think it's worth a try:

1) First, take your SD card out of the camera.

2) Then turn on your camera and let it turn itself off.

3) Read the next step first and be ready to press the shutter release button (take a picture) right after the LCD screen turns on

4) With the camera lens pointed down towards the floor (aim down), turn on the camera. At this point the LCD screen should not be blurry anymore. Immediately press the shutter release after confirming that the LCD is not blurry. If the camera stays on and you can review the picture (most likely of your feet), then you are almost done.

5) Turn off the camera and re-insert your SD card.

5) This may not be a permanent fix, but point the camera lens downward whenever you turn on the camera. It should work normally if you do this. Mine worked normally (meaning I don't have to point it downward when I turn it on) after doing this several times. Your results may vary.

Lens error and blurry photos

If your images are blurry and the lens wont move smoothly it is very probable that some kind of force on the lens has damaged a gear, barrel or even dislodged an element internally. When the lens detects an obstruction in its movement the camera reports accordingly,"lens error". You should have the camera checked by a service centre, it will most likely need the lens replaced as they are not serviceable.

The lens doesnt close and when i turn the camera on it bips three times and the screan shuts off. the lens wont close.

The batteries need to be changed. The digital batteries sold at the stores die out too fast. I had this same problem. In result, I purchased rechargeable battieries.
