Remove string cap and tighten nut or you will have to hold shaft just above string head with pliers and turn head by hand till tight.

Although it is called dual line, only one line is used - except that you
use both ends of the line. Cut off as much line as you think the spool
will hold. Put the two ends together to find the center of the line.
Some trimmers have holes to thread the lines through and others have a
place to hook the bend at the middle of the line. if yours has threading
holes, thread one end of the line through each hole and then pull on
both ends until the bend of the center of the line won't allow any more
slack. If your trimmer has the place to hook the bend, hook there and
start winding the lines in the direction shown on the spool. Be sure one
line is on one half of the spool and the other line on the other half.
Wind both lines at the same time as smoothly as you can. When the spool
is full, insert the loose ends through the trimmer head, insert the
spool and pull on the strings. Hope this helps Tim
Here is a site that can help if I did not understand your question correctly:
look on the bottom of the spool and see if there is an arrow point stamped on the outside of the spool, then check if there is an arrow point stamped on the inside of the spool. If so line up the two arrow points and cut two pieces of line about 3ft long. Insert one line into the hole where line comes out and push it until it comes out a little hole on the bottom of the spool. Pull some out and there will be a very little hole (the size of the line) beside the bigger hole insert the end of the line into the smaller hole and then pull it tight. Do the same for the other side. Then twist the spool (like you did to align the arrow points) stop when you have enough line out to reach the line cutter.
no its not imposssible.but its not easy unless u have done a few times.you have screws around the plasic casing get them out.and pull
shaft off engine.
Invert the trimmer pull the center of the head straight off. Wind new line in counter Clockwise direction. There should be a hole or notch to place the center of the string in. insert each end of the sting through one of the holes in the head and reinsert the spool into the proper position. Be sure that the automatic advance is movable by pressing down and pulling out more string. Cut string to proper length and restart your trimmer
