,first make sure you have 240 volts going to the stove,the broil runs on 120 volts,the bake on 240 volts,unplug it,remove the two screws and pull out the bake element,pull off at least one wire and read it out with a meter,if it's good remove the back panel,check for burnt wires,plug it back in and where the block is or where the cord connects to the machine make sure you have 240 volts,if you do you the computer board is bad or the clock assy. part number 5701M556-60 and it's around 225 dollars on the sears site,when you call your parts store give them the full number off the machine,the number that came up was mer577oaaa.hope this helps.also when the bake is on the broil element heats up too,that's why both elements show up,if the relay is bad in the clock assy,you can't get a new relay you have to change out the whole assy.
