hi mate gear oil wise you need light gear oil i reccomend silkolene,motorex,morris,rock oil for 2 stroke wise you need to buy a mixing bottle of ebay or something with a ratio of 32/1 and i use silkolene comp 2 premix competition oil descent stuff its 10 pound for 1 litre

are you getting any noises from the drive ?
Try moving the Console to a different location. Or away from any other electrical appliances.
The DVD drive centre-spindle could be warped, or dirt on the laser movement runners.
