SOURCE: picture flashes for a second then tv goes to

There are so many TV's on here with these problems and they all relate to capacitors having blown on the power and sustain boards. Unless you are skilled and have the tools to retune it when boards are replaced.
and understand how to follow a circuit diagram to check voltage this is not a DIY The fix is about $300 all up. so get a professional to do it.

My sony kdl-46v3000 standby light blinks 5 times tv wont turn on

The TV enters standby mode when there is no signal for 30 seconds. https://docs.sony.com/release/KDL46V3000.pdf
I searched standby using Ctrl+F and found this information. It seems you should be able to bring it out of standby using the power button on the remote. You want to make sure there is an input connected and if it is connected to a PC that the PC isn't telling the TV to go into standby.
Try pressing the input button and changing inputs once you press the power button and the Standby is flashing.
If this doesn't work you may need to contact Sony Support.

Screen black

Here's the test to determine which board is faulty. With the TV on, as usual, shine a flashlight on the screen to see if there is a faint picture. If there is, then the ballast board for the backlights is bad. If there is no visible picture, then the T-Con board is bad. Define "standby" mode.

Hello,

The standby mode is a power saving feature. In this mode, a it does not shut down completely, just goes to low power state and so it consumes less power. When it resumes from the standby mode, full power is restored.. During the standby mode, if the power supply is disconnected or interrupted, data might be lost.

Hope this helps,

32'' Vizio LCD no picture or sound

Your filter capacitors have popped due to diodes shorting, P-channel FETs shorting from gate-to-drain. Pull-up resistors have changed value and as a result your capacitors have peaked (popped)....so now the tv is in protection mode to prevent further damage to your tv. Take it to your local shop for servicing, or take it back if its under warranty......

Will not come out of standby

The reported problem is either:

A) your input signal is not being received (or is too weak), so the TV remains in standby mode...check the antenna or SAT or cable connection AND be sure the selection on the remote matches the intended input

OR

B) the TV Guide feature is unable to connect to the update correctly....power down the set (unplug if necessary) for 10- 15 minutes, power on and enter 0-0-0-0-0 as the zip code for the TV Guide...
