Called a repair man, he adjusted the convergence, with a remote for Mitsubishi. (I lost mine years ago). He thinks that is what was causing the TV to turn off. Time will tell if that cured it.
Check for any bad solder on the mainboard of the TV, and also check for any burn fuse on the powersupply area... BAd solder was very common problem on Mitsubishi TV..
pleaser eset you TV as below.
Turn off and remove the power cord from the main socket.
leave it for about 30 min
turn back on again.
please make sure your sleep mode is off.
in your web browser type in the brand and model number and than download the manual or you can go to your local library and look in sams photofact and copy it.
You may just need to replace a few components in your tv or there mmight be something loose. First part of the TV that usually shows up with a problem is the power supply. Check the power supply for loose soldering or leaking capacitor. If there are none on those circuit make your way up to the main board and have it checked.
When it gets better after warm up it can be a capacitor in the 160 Volt high voltage circuit or a cold solder joint. these 2 thinks would be my best guess on this set.
