Samsung LE37R88BD I cannot seem to get the picture settings correct. I have a sky box and a home theartre system but the picture seems cloudy no matter what settings you change, however it doesn't seem that bad on outdoor scenes and close up it is worse on indoor shots and distance shots. Football and racing picture seems very blurry. Any ideas??

Well the shadow is caused by the pixels going dead. There is a term for this "dead pixels" if its still under warrenty take it in. If its not you may be able to get a new screen for it on Ebay.com I use ebay a lot and boy I found thing I though I would never find people are very informative and you will probably need to take the screen you bought to a repair shop and have them place it in for you. this is not a quick fix so I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Moving objects extremely blurry in SAMSUNG LCD-football, golf, etc

This is a problem that will pretty much just be there on this TV. I know it has an awesome picture...as long as nothing moves. You can try putting it in "Game Mode" in the user menu and that usually takes care of it but you didn't buy the 120/240 Hz tv to watch it in 60Hz. I would say exchange it, and in my opinion buy a good plasma :)

Why does the picture do this. Press sky on remote and all colours seem to b wrong but when tv button is pressed the pic is fine but not hd

If you are getting your video picture (t.v) through a cable box, satellite dish etc. you will have to adjust the internal settings of that box to match the HD settings of the T.V. as well.

How do i connect my blue ray Samsung ht-bt1220 2.1 to play through my sky hd box

Connect an optical lead from the sky hd box to the Samsung Blue Ray.
Then change the function button on the Blue Ray to Din 1.
Then change settings on Sky HD box to Dolby and this worked.

No picture on TV through Sky, Home Cinema is on but have sound.

do have sound and picture at same time you will need a fibre optical cable, you connect that from your cinema system to your tv. then you need to set your cinema system to digital input or fibre optic or check by pressing aux on your remote and see which is the right one. i am not familier with panasonic as i have samasung.

I hvae just purchased a Samsung HXT 30 sound system and connected it to the tv anbd sky hd box how do I get sound from the tv it would appear it is a problem what cables do I need I have aq HDMI from the...

You need to run a cable from your Sky (satellite box) box's 'Audio Out' jacks to the sound system's 'Audio in' jacks. Make sure the Sound system is set on the same function as where you plugged in the cables (RCA type, red & white) on the back of the sound system. (example: if you used the 'Auxilliary' jacks, set the sound system on 'Aux')

If it's sound 'from' the TV as well as the sound system you'll need to connect another set (of red & white RCA) cables from the Sound System's 'Audio Out' jacks to the Television's 'Audio In' jacks. This should give you sound from both the TV's speakers and the Sound System. Good Luck!

I was wondering what is the typical ideal set up in terms of picture settings to obtain the best picture from my 46" samsung 6 series. It is currently connected to my sky box (not HD)through a normal...

If you are not connected to HD, pixelation can easily occur, especially if you are using an analogue connection. Here is a list, from best to worst, of how you should connect the video on your system.

1) BEST - HDI cable between the TV HDMI in and the sky box HDMI out. This is a full bandwidth digital audio and video connection.

2) BETTER - S-Video between your TV and sky box (with L & R audio)

3) GOOD - Component Video with L & R audio

4) STANDARD - single video cable (yellow) along with L & R audio

5) standard coax

These are listed, as stated, from best to worst quality. If you are not using a digital connection (HDMI), then pixelation can be expected.

Most likley your scart cable is the culprit, check whether the scart cable is the AV I/O type. And also better check the audio settings of the DVD player. Hope u hook up the speakers correctly. Cheers, Rifaa
