We use Remote Desktop on our MC9090 to access an application. The scanner does not work. Do I need to install datawedge?

Yes thats correct.

The latest version available is v3.2.4.

You can download it from:-

If that doesn't work as its session controlled just go to teh main search page

http://support.symbol.com/support/product/softwaredownloads.do

and search for datawedge and then select "Most Recent" to get the latest version.

The application, can be configured to read the barcode. There is an application on the scanner it will tell you what the barcode actually is. either Scanwedge or Scan both should be in the Sample applications, or from the desktop click on "Olt"

Hi, my terminal Motorola MC3190 doesn't want to enable scanner and i really don't know why.... There is an error code A0000032 with message: "CANNNOT ENABLE SCANNER"
The scanner engine/output can be used only by one application. If a second application is trying to access the scanner, while in use. The error message will come.
Please check if there are more applications running in background. Usual MC9090 applications with scanner drivers are Telnet, Datawedge, Rapid Deployment and custom software.
Exit one of the application or try to exit all of them. Start your scanning application again, no error should appear now.
