Thanks for answering my question, but now i was wondering how to format the mini sd card without erasing my music files on the player itself. again i thank you
Don't know if your sansa supports from the settings, info tab to select sd card and format, if not attach to pc (settings usb) and the first memory displayed will be internal the second will be microsd card.

hi, lets try to fix your problem without spending a single
cents..removed your micro sd ,(small memory card of your phone) then
scan it in computer,,by doing this you need an all in one card that
supported mini sd,mini sd ,memory stick etc..then you will find if your
micro sd is having a virus..back up your files then reformat your micro
sd ,then after formatting back your files...without your micro sd open
your phone ,if it is ok now ,so the problem is your micro sd...if still
there the problem ,reset your phone by doing this ,type *#7370# and
enter your locked code..wait until the phone reboot itself.
Place the mini-SD card within the mini-to-SD card adapter. Make sure the tab on the mini-SD is facing the upper side of the adapter. Slide it in slowly, being careful not to damage the pins.
Slide the adapter in an SD slot on your computer. If you do not have an SD slot, place the adapter in a USB card reader, and plug that into a USB slot on your computer. Give the computer time to read the card.
Open "My Computer" (usually located in your start menu) and navigate to your mini-SD card. It will usually be recognized as a drive such as "E:" or "H:."
Right-click on the drive and select the "Format" option. A menu window will open.
Make sure that the drive size is set correctly, and that it is set to the file system you wish to use (usually FAT32 on an SD card). If you don't know what file system you should use, just leave it at the default setting.
Enter a volume label, which is the name for the drive, then press start. This process should only take a few minutes.
WARNING
Do not use the "Quick Format" option unless you have just recently formatted the mini-SD card. "Quick Format" doesn't completely erase all data and is not effective unless used after a full format.
When you format your mini-SD card, all of the data on it will be erased. Make sure to back up your files on the card before formatting
format the card in tools, then with the micro SD inserted into your computer, access the card from the "my computer", create a file titled MUSIC, then drag drop files onto card. MP3 FORMAT ONLY
the device has to format the card. at this time the phone will create folders for music, videos, images, and what not. now when you insert the card into your computer you will open the card and copy the files to the music folder. this will allow access to the files from the handset visual platform. Good Luck and please rate this solution!! :D
I encounter this error with my 16 gb SD card and Zoom H4n.
I try to format the card inside and outside fo the Zoom, use 8 gb and 32 gb instead of 16gb card and, but get the same error.
But I find a solution.
1. I format my SD card inside Zoom with builtin utility. (Menu - SD Card - Format)
2. I reinstall Zoom firmware
(instruction and download here: http://www.zoom.co.jp/products/h4n/software/ )
3. I format SD card inside Zoom again.
I took a several test and didn't get a "Card Full" error.
you can try some data recovery software. You can see recover files from sd card It tells the steps how to perform data recovery.
If above does not work, you may have to format the memory card (use quick format), and then use sd card recovery software to scan again the memory card and recover your files.
