Webcam is there a site where i can upgrade my webcam online without having to go purchase software

If you bought the laptop that has an OS already installed in it then its already been activated with the proper driver. If not try checking by right clicking your "my computer icon" then click properties. Once there go to "device managers". Then double click "imaging devices" where there you will see your webcam if properly has the right driver. If not install it with the proper driver provided when you bought the laptop.
If youre problem is actually running your webcam without going to lets say "yahoo messenger" to activate it then you would have to purchase a third party softwares that can run your webcam independently to capture images and even videos.

I'M NOT QUITE SURE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING HERE. DO YOU NOT HAVE THE SOFTWARE OR NOT HAVE A DISC DRIVE? IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE SOFTWARE, MOST SOFTWARE CAN BE FOUND ONLINE AT YOUR WEBCAM MAKER SITE. IF YOU DON'T HAVE A DISC DRIVE, DOWNLOADING THE SOFTWARE FROM THE WEBSITE WOULD WORK AROUND THIS. HOPE THIS HELPS. IF NOT REPLY TO ME AND WE'LL WORK IT OUT.

you cant use your cam without the driver and software accompanied by your cam when you purchase., find the site of your cam and ask for your driver and software.
