Ok at boot up press F8, when the Menu comes up, choose Safe Mode, but this time instead of going to the desktop, choose System Restore, follow instructions, and when the Calender type window comes up, simply choose a time BEFORE, the time it went faulty. This should completely restore you to working again. As long as there are NO other problems. support.microsoft.com/kb/306084 - This is all I can think of to do.

RCINT failure.string table ID not found.'42' at line 462.

  • Something you have running in the background is failing. Googling around shows one person who had installed Style XP and that was causing the problem. Other links show people having the problem but no solution. So if you haven't installed Style XP, you'll need to do some systematic troubleshooting.

The First Question Of Troubleshooting: If the problem is new, what changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't?

The Second Question of Windows Troubleshooting: what is the malware/virus status of the machine? If you think it is clean, what programs (and versions) did you use to determine this?

Be sure the computer is clean:

If the computer is completely virus/malware-free, manage your startup to find the culprit.

    Start>Run>msconfig [enter]

This brings up the System Configuration Utility. Look on the Startup tab and find the probable culprit. Uncheck the box next to its name, Apply and OK out. You don't need to restart immediately, but the next time you do you'll get a dialog saying you've used the Utility. Just tick the box that says in effect, "don't bother me about this again".

RCINT FAILURE STRING TABLE ID NOT FOUND "46" AT LINE 236 problem on my pc

Try running system file checker. It scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.
Start, Run, "SFC /scannow"
The error you're referring to is most often caused by pieces of software, such as LogonStudio, replacing system files.

When i start xp bariski i have error RCINT failure string table Id not found '42' at line 42 what can i do now ? Also, I cannot shut it down normally but only manually all the time.. I am getting worried...

Why would it break your laptop, what's Bariski, and why does it sound like some script is failing as you boot?

Yes it sounds like things are going pear-shaped; you should find a nice data transfer program for XP installs and do 3 things:
1- Boot to a backup utility CD and make a full backup of your HD to optical disk or a network (SAN/WAN), or just make a HD to HD copy on the bench using the bench machine if you know how to do that.  Laptop HDs only last 3 years at full performance, especially if well-traveled.
1a- Yes, you need a new laptop HD of the same interface; any size is fine.
2- Install an OS you like on the new HD; then a VM and partition for the old stuff if you want to preserve that environment and it doesn't transfer directly or seems inadvisable.  Install antivirus and backup tools too.
3- Transfer your stuff to the working system from the original drive or backup.

I have problem when i start my pc a error message appeared rcint failure string table id not found 42 at line 462

This problem usually occur due to soft booting the machine (reset) and then it could not restart. Usually after the xp logo screen u can only got the parser message: string table not found '42' at line 462. (which is a registery sincronization error (r,sint)). Click the ok button many times and your machine will boot up. Then go to control panel, user accounts, create new account. soft boot your machine again log onto new account and delete all files found in file search with stylexp and tgtsoft in them. Tthen log off and restart and log on as usual user (p.s. administrater privalidges required on both) and delete the new logon account. Hope this will fix the problem, otherwise you have to format your hard disc and reinstall your OS.
