we have the same brand tv but the 65" model. had a 4 year warranty just in case the lamps went out. the lamp went out and we called conn's to come out and fix the tv. the repairman replaced the lamp, and then he said to unplug the tv from the wall or the strip it is plugged into and wait 5 minutes and then plug it back in. he left and said to call him back if that did not work. did what he said and it fixed the problem. try unplugging the tv for 5 minutes and plug it back in and see if that might take care of your problem.
Make sure u replace the lamp cover as the safety switch need to be closed to make the set work. If new lamp did not repair your problem , then it may well be the Ballast Board, Sometimes call the Lamp Driver.
Most likely the lamp is burnt out (indicator goes to constant red status). Replace lamp (get lamp P/N from User Manual for replacement), clean any dirt around lamp, fan, and rear filter. Do NOT get any fingerprints on new lamp.
