Hi
Maybe, depending on the problem. Laptop monitor problems fall into three categories. 1. Screen electronics or lamp. 2. Inverter. 3. Laptop video chip. I've been repairing latops ever since they arrived on the market. First connect an external monitor to the laptop - this will show you whether or not the laptop motherboard is working correctly. If it is then you'll need to replace either the screen or the inverter. So as not to waste alot of money, at this point I would suugest going to a reputable repair person or check my website www.micromendllc.com

Monitor on Compaq F500 doesn't power up.

check whether the display is coming on monitor or not through the vga port, if the display is there then its the problem of display panel, if not then the fault is in motherboard of the laptop

Compaq Presario 700 Series Laptop wont turn on

Please first make sure that your adaptor is working.
Try to remove the battery and connect your laptop to the adaptor. Swith on. If nothing chages, then there is good chance that you have a motherboard related problem.

Presario c700

I think by doing that you interrupt the contact of the power connector or you touch something on the board which you shouldn't.
