Amana side by side ice dispenser leaking water

My amana ice dispenser is leaking water from the top right hand corner of the ice maker, then the water freezes as it runs down and causes a big glob of ice to form, what could be the problem? thanks! Won't allow me to put the model number SZD27MBW of my Amana Side by SIde Fridge. So I just put it under the other one Same problem?? Ice maker leaks and freezes in the water supply tube (What I am calling the white short tube going from the inside back to the ice maker reservoir). Moreover, I find huge puddles underneath the body of the fridge. I ruled out solenoid and any leaky coupling I could find.

Same problem as described. Water shooting out of top right corner, so much so it put a layer of water on all frozen food and an inch in the bottom of the frig then froze rock solid. Was still making ice though. Could it be the filter is clogged and cutting off the water pressure to the icemaker or does the water to the icemaker not use filtered water?

My amana ice dispenser is leaking water from the top right hand corner of the ice maker, then the water freezes as it runs down and causes a big glob of ice to form. I noticed the plastic fill tube will drip after it fills the icemaker up with water, then eventually stop. Thought it could be off level, but not the case. Has worked fine for five years. No other leaks anywhere.
    Any ideas?

We have same problem. The line is not the standard 1/4" but 5/16". Get 5/16" compression coupling with insert for line. Go to small hardware store. Home Depot is of no help. Good luck, I'm trashing mine and getting a unit with only an ice maker, no water in door.

Water and ice dispenser does not work---the switch clicks when you press it but there is not response, also the ice maker just quit working

Three things could be wrong:
Solenoid switch where the water comes into the unit has gone, this control the flow of water into both the ice maker and the water dispenser.
If the switch is good and then you need to check your filters, sometimes inside the door top right. or on one of the corners on the bottom front.. You should be able to unscrew them with you hands.. make sure water is off behind unit or where ever your shut off is at.
One last thing.. check for kinks in the water line behind the unit if it was pulled out lately.

No ice instead water dripping down into freezer making icicles

If you have icicles, where are they forming at? If on the front of the ice bucket, then look at the dispenser shoot door is closing all the way. The way to check that is to look into the shoot while holding a flash light (or bright light) up into the dispenser from the front side of door. You should see no light.

Now if you have ice buildup around the inside of bucket, mainly from the ice maker to the bucket then you either have an ice maker that is leaking water or you have a water valve that is not shutting off all the way. Suspect water valve if you have ice buildup within water inlet tube on top of ice maker. Frozen water within tube is good indication that water valve is leaking.

Look inside refrig side of refrig, usually located on right top side of wall, you will find a tag with model number and serial number. Need both to get you the right part number for ice maker or water valve.

Outside ice despenser is dripping, no ice

water dispenser -Your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just drips after use.

ice maker - If it overfills and drips, look for an adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.

If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.

Amana refigator

If the dual water valve(you'll see it in the back of the fridge where the water line goes in)is leaking this water freezes up inside the filling tube for the ice maker and when it calls for water it can't go through.Or could be this valve doesn't work, in both cases it needs to be replaced.

Amana SBD21VE No water to ice maker

your water line to the fridge is most likely leaking. You should turn it off right away. The line turn off is either behind the fridge or under sink. sometimes its in basement. The line is very easy to replace. You can get the plastic ones at home centers for under 5 bucks.

Amana side by side ice dispenser leaking water

Take the ice maker out and look at the mold. If the coating is flaking off then that is where it is leaking. Will need to replace the ice maker.
