Our Neff dishwasher has occasionally stopped/stuck with 1 minute left in the cycle and is cold inside when opened and some minor evidence of not washing/rinsing properly

if forgotten it has taken 5 hours to finish

I have tried resetting program/timer. It doesn't do it every wash

we have run a Finish cleaning product cycle and checked all filters are clean

Looks like the heater unit has packed up.

I cannot seem to find the actual model you have anywhere on the internet. But I am assuming you connect the dishwasher to cold water inlet and it is meant to have a heater.

Are you in UK or Europe. Bosch also makes parts for the NEFF dishwasher but I am not able to find spare parts for your exact model.

My Neff dfn60 dishwasher has no power

I suggest looking under the sink. Some dishwashers simply are plugged into an outlet under the sink.
It very well could have came unplugged.
If that isn’t what it is most likely a breaker has tripped in your breaker box. Try to identify the tripped breaker. Switch to the left and then to the right. Check and see if you now have power.
If neither of these, I would suggest calling a appliance repair technician.
I hope this information helps. Have a blessed day!

NEFF s51e40x1gb/29 dishwasher button 7 flashing

Taken From the Manual (https://media3.neff-international.com/Documents/9000816278_I.pdf)
If the appliance stops during dishwashing or does not start for no obvious reason, first run the Abort
programme function (Reset).
Terminating the programme (Reset)
1. Open the door.
2. Press START button 9 for approx. 3 sec. until all displays go out.
3. Close the door.
The remaining programme sequence for draining the residual water takes approx. 1 minute.

Neff s5443x1GB/29 dishwasher starts and stops

The pressure chamber or hose (pressure chamber to sump) may be blocked and the microswitch is being activated because the water is not entering the tank quick enough. Isolate from electric, remove lid and left panel (looking from the front). There is a plastic chamber bottom right of left side with two microswitches, either this is blocked or the hose that runs from it to the right and along the back of the kick panel and into the sump. Clear either or both (make sure all hoses are pushed true when repositioning).

Water wont fill

first of all, i'm gonna guess that the water supply under the sink is turned on.
the water you hear is the left over water from a previous cycle. there is always some left in the hoses after it drains, just like your washer.
this is 1 of 2 things. either your float is stuck in the up position or your water inlet valve is malfunctioning. the float is the quick and easy fix. the float is somewhere inside your dishwasher. it tells the water to stop coming in when it reaches a certain height, just like your toilet. it could look like anything, but most likely a cone or a little hat. just grab it and try to move it up and down. it should slide freely. it was probably stuck up and your handling will have solved the problem. we hope.
if the float was ok, the inlet valve needs checked or replaced. it is under the machine and has the water supply line hooked up to it. good luck

Neff Dishwasher

Hi,

The offending parts are on the left hand side of the machine (viewed from the front). You need to remove a screw (or two?) at the back top edge of the side panel which will then lift upwards and come off.

Before I did my fixit I phoned Neff service (actually BSH appliance care) who quoted me £60.50 for the first half hour then £45/hour plus parts or £159 for 12 months parts and labour. A bit of a no brainer! Anyway, I provisionally booked a service call but said I would call back to confirm.

2 days later I still had the machine pulled out and the panel off because I was testing it. Phone rings - service engineer to say he's on his way. Thought he may as well look at it anyway. He said I'd done exactly what he would have done except he'd have used new part instead of cleaning out the original. He even cancelled the call off his system so no call out charge!! He also told me that 1 minute on the timer display is actually an error code not the actual time left.

Be warned - after the fix I ran the machine on a rinse cycle - completed ok. Put it on an auto wash cycle and it stuck with 1 minute to go! Much swearing and cursing!!
However all subsequent washes have been fine and it has now been working properly for several weeks.

I took some photos whilst I was doing the repair - I can email them to you if you want.

Hope the above makes sense - good luck.

Neff S5555 - empties water but stuck in draining mode.

if this machine uses an electrical-mechanical timer with cam switches, the try oiling the shaft bushings both for the timer motor and cams-the timer may be getting stuck because of dry or corroded bushings
