After opening the messenger program you will see the main messenger box.click on theAdd button .You will now be presented with three options asking how you would like to add your friend, By Yahoo! ID, By Email Address or Search for a friend. By Yahoo ID is the default way to add a friend.click the Next button. You will now see the Add a frienddialogue box.A person's Yahoo ID ís the first part of their Yahoo email addressadd a friend with the yahoo ID .You can create different groups for your friends, for example you could have one group for family members and one group for work colleagues, enter the name of the group you want to add this friend to a group.Leave your identity as it is . next The Message to Friend box allows you to add a small message to let them know you have added them. When you have filled in all the information simply click the Finish button, you will then be told that a message has been sent to the person with that Yahoo ID asking permission for you to add them as your friend. First you install yahoo messenger in your pc..download from internet -
-If you have yahoo ID then log in from yahoo messenger
-Add friends email ID's in your yahoo messenger..- Click on -Contact - Add a Contact -fillup email ID. & add email ID.

This is true that he/she can change your account information and even
can hack it !! its quite a regular thing these days because of loop
holes in yahoo account security.
DON'T EVER USE YOUR MAIN ID (THE ID IN WHICH YOU ADD FRIENDS )
Booters (who can disconnect you from messenger wither by hanging your
yahoo messenger or by making you forcefully signout from messenger) and
hackers are there on yahoo.
I got solution/s for this problem:-
1-use ysupra chat client.Its freely downloadable..you can search on google to download it freely,it provides a lot of security to out accounts while we use our id in chat rooms.This is the best chat client till date.
2-Make ids with numbers,like my id is eric_the_hunk27...i have made other ids with numbers like eric_the_hunk22..21...25..26. AND DONT ADD ANYONE ON THESE IDS.MAKE THESE IDS JUST FOR CHAT ROOMS.This helps a lot ,first people in chat room will recognise you.On ysupra..almost 99% of the booters can't boot you,its very safe.
2-while using ysupra,you can simultaneously sign -in in your yahoo messenger too,use yahoo messenger to sin\gn in with your main id (the id in which you add friends and want to be safe and secure from any kind of attack),don't use your main ID in chat room ever.
3- incase you want to add soneone in chat room to your main id,then you just have to send add request from your main id to that person..that's easy..just type the id of that person to whom you want to add in "type id here" in your yahoo messenger and then press enter,then add the person.
IN THIS WAY,YOU WILL BE VERY VERY SECURE...

SO,IF YOU DON'T TAKE YOUR MAIN ID IN CHAT ROOM..THEY WONT BE ABLE TO HACK YOUR ID...
AND IF THEY HACK THE CHAT ROOM ID THAN ITS NOT AN ISSUE BECAUSE YOU WONT BE HAVING FRIENDS IN THOSE IDS..AND YOU WOULD BE USING THOSE IDS JUST FOR CHAT ROOMS...
YOU CAN MAKE AT MAX 6 IDS FROM YAHOO MESSENGER IN 24 HOURS TIME...I GUESS THIS IS MORE THAN SUFFICIENT...LOL
In the Yahoo! Messenger window, click the Add button. (With the Windows version, you can also click the Messenger menu and then select Add a Friend/Group.)
Step 1. Enter your friend's exact Yahoo! ID or alias name. Your friend must have a Yahoo! ID in order for you to add them to your list.
Important: If your friend does not have Yahoo! ID or Yahoo! Messenger yet, make sure to send them an invitation and download instructions.
Step 2: Select the group to which you want the friend to be added. If you want to create a new group, just type the name in the space provided. Groups help you keep track of friends (e.g, work friends, chat friends, etc.) separately. Note: Group names cannot contain spaces or special characters.
Step 3: Choose whether you want to use your main Yahoo! ID or one of your aliases (profiles) to add your friend. Your friend will only see the ID or alias that you choose, and not any of the others that you might have. Remember that you may need to close the Add dialog box and reopen it to see your new Yahoo! aliases.
Step 4: Send your friend a message to appear along with the notice that you've added them.
Note: When you add a friend to your list, the friend is automatically notified and given the option to add you in return. If the friend adds you in return, you are notified.
Go to Messenger, then to Preferences. Then, click on "Ignore list" and click on the id you want to add again and then click on Remove. Then, click on OK.
After that, add that person again to your messenger list.
I have used Zak's nobuddy before - it has been updated to work with yahoo's newest protocols.
Test: (A) I have 2 yahoo ID's - I added each to the other: (B) I use Yahoo Messenger version 9.0.0.2162 (C) I was invisible mode at all times on each ID
1 I then got this zak nobuddy to remove one from the other: 2 It worked (although it left no message - I was simply gone). 3 I then performed the normal add request - this too worked fine and I was added again as soon as ID2 accepted.
You say it's blocked from your contact list: I would check from messengers menu bar messenger/ preferences/ ignore list and see if your friends ID is in there.
