Ive tried reinstalling, system restore, this is the only game on my comp with this problem
I got the solution fokes ... go into C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Aspyr\Guitar Hero III and modify AspyrConfig ( open with notepad ) and modify
<s id="Video.Width">1440</s>
<s id="Video.Height">900</s>
This is how worked to me...the idea came after many many tries to fix it... and it will sure work for you :)
I can't get it to come in I unplugged it & everything still pops up saying "Out Of Range 60Hz" in the middle of the screen what can I do to reset it or something?
I think you must have tried to change the resolution to which your monitor frequency is not suitable OR this may also happen if you are not having any graphics card or AGP card so by this there will be a range of frequencies (refresh rates) which will not work...
so you must go to that game options and change the resolution(refresh rate) which is compatible for your system to work successfully ...
check system requirements for that game is it compatible with your system or not...
if you have the graphics card then adjust the settings correctly ..
if you dont have the graphics card then if you want to buy it then your pc must have a AGP slot or the PCI express slot ...
after inserting AGP card or graphics card you will be able to play the game ...
check your directx version also if it needs update ... latest is directx9c .. some games prefer directx9 and they also something like 3d compatibility, transform & lighting hardware ...
This and all options will be available if you have the latest graphics card ...
thank you...
bye

When I start up Guitar Hero the screen turns black and says "OUT OF RANGE" in the middle of the screen. I can only hear the sounds and music of the game but not see anything! Please help me! :(
Monitor shows "out of range" after windows update.
