you can check it with other sim card ,if it remains the same problem ,it may be locked to particular network wont accept any sim card other than the particular network ,you can unlock it and used to other network, try here http://www.theunlockspot.com/lg-vu-cu920/rs10wp9/
Unlocking means that it can work on any compatible network -- it's no longer tied to one carrier -- but you still need a SIM card for your provider so the phone has an identity on the network.
turn the phone on remove the battery cover and remove the battery while the device is still powered on then proceed to remove the sim card and clean the contact surface well with a dust free cloth replace sim card battery and cover. if problem persists contact customer care
You are placing the smart chip on top of the smart chip holder. It's a little metal square where the smart chip should go. Lift up the metal square and place the smart chip underneath. I had to go to my local AT&T dealer to figure this out.
attempt to take the SIM card out and gently wipe it off (pay especial detail to the copper connectors on the under-side.) after that, give a gentle blow to the recieving area for the sim on the phone and place the sim back in the phone, power up, and hopefully this problem will be solved. this issue occurs often to myself and this seems to be a very simple solution.
