Go to "Tonerfillyourself.com" I bought refill toner and it includes a new chip and it's not hard to replace it. (Comes with instructions)

Change ymck toner

The toner cartridge has a chip that calculates the estimated usage of the toner and once it reaches it's capacity (per estimation), it will not print. The only thing you can do is to buy a new cartridge or buy refill toner that comes with a reset chip.

When I start up printer after it rotates the toner cartridges the error light comes on and cannot be cleared . On my Windows computer it says there is no cyan toner cartridge. There is, of course.

Does it say Image Cartridge or toner. Is the cartridge third party if so replace with a real Minolta cart the machine do know info on the chip on the cartridge and reject them sometimes

We just? replaced the cyan toner with a OEM cyan and two days later it says it needs to be replaced again

A lot of printer cartridges have microchips which make them unusable once the machine believes it to be finished, mainly to discourage refilling. maybe the chip has malfunctioned or the cartridges were used already and refilled or something. there are chip resetters , perhaps you should speak to the supplier, they may refund or replace or reset the chip for you.

Will the magicolor 2400w stop if one toner cartridge is empty . If yes can it be bypassed??

Removed each toner cartridge, shake it and replace it.

I don't know if this is the real fix but it worked for me at this time..

Error

The only way to reset the toner error is to replace the counter chip on the toner cartridge. These should go for about $10 a piece. Otherwise, you can set the engine to continue on error, and ignore the blinking light. Better yet, I put a piece of electrical tape over it. You can still read the status on the LED's, but not have your wife complain about it. Saves you $40.

Using refill not intended for 2400W

You need to be careful about the size of the grains in the toner. I would use toners from other printers of the same make and model series, but when you go outside them you really need to know the exact natue (specifications) or the toner you use. The chips just reset the counter that the printer tracks to tell you when you are just about out, but they are not critical for operation, but you must set the print engine to continue on error.

Konica Minolta Magicolor 2400W drum cartrige-how to replace?

Did you buy a whole new drum unit, or just change the cartridge? If so, the fuse may still be blown. Also, you may need to empty the spent toner out of the old cartridge.
