SOURCE: new ink cartridge for Kodak Easy Share 5300 will not work

The version of firmware you originally had on the printer when you changed the ink cartridge was bad. There is a known issue that when you put in a new ink cartridge when the printer is in the error state "COLOR INK EMPTY. REPLACE COLOR INK CARTRIDGE" the unit writes that value to the new ink cartridge so you will continue to have that error.

So to fix your problem Open the access door and Remove the ink cartridges. Then download and install the new Firmware. Heres the link.

Kodak AiO 5300 Firmware

Then sadly you have to go get another new ink tank and install it.

If you can get through to kodak you should request reimbursement of some sort like a free set of ink tanks.

I hope this helps

SOURCE: kodak #G600 printer dock/roller won't pull paper through

I read this solution to a problem someone else was having which was similar to my problem. I wiped off the roller with a damp cloth, made sure it was dry and that's all it took to allow the roller to be able to start to pull the paper through. - thanks for the help!

SOURCE: Won't recognize color ink cartridge

This is a common problem with Kodak 5000 series and ESP series printers.
Check the silver contacts on the ink cartridges for small scratches in the center. The scratches indicate that the ink cartridges have made contact with the appropriate connections in the printer. If no marks are visible, the cartridge was not seated properly. If the contacts look ok, you'll have to call Kodak again. It's highly likely that the recertified printer you received was returned for the same problem. If you point out the fact that you are experiencing the same problem for the second time, you may wind up with an upgrade to an ESP5. Don't accept another printhead replacement as thiat will not resolve the problem.

My canon ix 6560 printer cannot recognize the ink cartridge even though i already replace the original cartridge a new one it still prompt on my computer the cartridge cannot be recognize..thanks

First, I'm not a canon tech.

* Oh, this is an old printer. Video shows them using a refill system.
* I had a similar system on a EPSON printer that worked great for 10 years and printed 1000s of color sheets. I bough several printers of the same model as it got cheaper through the years. BUT...
* It stopped last year 2017 when my old lapto running VISTA crashed (spilt coffee on it.)
* Bought a Lenovo laptop in 2018 running windows 10 and hooked up the Epson. "Printer Too Old" was the reply. What?
* Looked around craig's list for old laptops but no luck. Too old.
* Had to by a newer 'WiFi" wireless printer (no usb cable port)
* New printer won't take re-ink cartridges (unless you buy one of the "super refillable well printer"
---- if your computer is willing then you can try the following:
* Had same problem with my Canon MG3022
* These newer (+2010) printers have higher memory and more control programing built in. Some brands more than others.
* The printer monitoring is very strict and needs to be followed EXACTLY as stated by the monitoring program.
* Another issue is how slow these programs are as they will check everything to see if your following along. Times will depend on your WiFi speed, CPU speed, and if your running other programs in the background (which you are as your trying to print something from Word, Paint, Photoshop, etc.)
* skipping over any point of the ink exchange will lock up the system as it's looking for the old cartridge (which is bad) and trying to establish a new cartridge in it's place. If you don't wait for it to establish this base line then it may see the new cartridge as 'used' and reject it. Yeah I know, frustrating. It's designed to prevent someone from "re-filling" the old cartridge and re-inserting it as "New"
* I've found that if I shut down everything (computer and printer) and restarting the printer with old cartridge. Then as it powers up and goes into "no Ink" error. Replace the cartridge. Hopefully it will accept the newer cartridge. You must give it time to process through the change out procedure (up to 15 mins.) Wait for the ready light then turn the computer on.
* Still problems? Call or go online to Canon.com for support.

My printer HP Officejet J4580 All in one, does not print, It reports "Entering sleep mode". Put new ink cartriges in, paper not jammed and no lights flashing and I printed a test page on the printer to...

Hi.

Try the following in order:

Disconnect printer power cord.
Turn off computer.
Disconnect computer power cord. (if laptop also remove battery)
Restart first computer than printer.
(this may look stupid, but it drains power that can jam USB ports and cause malfunction).

Clean the metal plate contacts in the ink carriage using cotton and isopropyl alcohol or cleaning solution.

Try turning off printer and performing a new cartridge installation. Use the HP software cartridge replacement procedure, do not simply swap cartridges.

Disconnect printer USB, reinstall printer software, connect printer back when prompted by setup wizard. Updated software for this model available at Software & Driver Downloads.

If you have spare cartridges, test them, the problem may be caused by a defective cartridge chip. Non original or refurbished cartridges commonly cause similar problems.

How to change the ink cartridge in a Canon iP1900 printer please

1•Protect your desk, printer stand or work surface by placing an old newspaper in front of or next to the printer. The newspaper will provide you with a place to work without getting ink anywhere you don't want it. It seems as though no matter how careful or neat you are, a little bit of ink always manages to escape when replacing an ink cartridge.
•2
Prepare the new ink cartridge for installation. Remove the replacement cartridge for your Canon printer from all of its packaging. You may need scissors to remove the heavy wrapper. Leave the protective orange cap or tape in place for now. Set the new cartridge aside on the newspaper.
•3
Remove the old ink cartridge from the Canon printer. With the printer on, open the front door or panel of the printer. Wait a second or two and the ink cartridge holder should move to the opening where it is accessible. If it does not move, shut the door, turn the printer off for a moment, turn it back on and try again. Lift the small lever that secures the ink cartridges within their holder. On most Canon printers, it is colored green and located on the right side of the ink cartridge holder. Gently lift the old ink cartridge out of the printer.
•4
Place the new ink cartridge in the printer. Remove the plastic cap or tape protecting the ink cartridge, being careful not to touch the black and gold "sensor" area of the cartridge. Gently but firmly push the new cartridge into the empty slot left where you removed the old ink cartridge. The label should be facing outward. You should feel the cartridge pop into place. Then push the lever back down that you lifted in Step 3. Close the printer door. Use paper towel or wet wipes to clean any ink from your hands.

HP 5610 printer won't print

Unplug this beast. Take the old ink cartridge out and re-insert. Also, check for any other jammed papers that need to be removed. Then turn this beast back on. See if that does anything old chap.

CANON PIXIMA IP5300 cartrage problem

I can suggest you one thing. If you can't do it yourself, get a friend who can.
Make a small hole (using a drill) in a new cartridge. This hole should directly go to the ink cartridge. (Make sure you don't spill ink everywhere!) Make a similar hole in the old cartridge. Take a syringe and pull out some ink from the new cartridge. Put it into the old cartridge. If you can see the ink level, fill about half of the old cartridge this way. Close both holes. Now use the old cartridge in the printer!
(You can repeat this process whenever the old cartridge runs out of ink).

C60 says full cartridge is dry

You could try taking out the new ink and putting in the old. Then uninstall the program, delete all reference to Epson in Regedit, then reinstall the program.
Change the cartridge when prompted.
Of course, having messed about with the jet, it may not work now !
