Water in the bottom of the fridge

In the freezer compartment, there is a drain. This drain gets plugged up. When the freezer defrosts the evaporator the water from it runs down to that drain. If that drain is plugged up, the water from the defrost can't drain out. The water will collect under on the bottom and then freez when the freezer starts up again. Take out the bottom drawers and us a hair drier to melt the and unplug the drain.
If that doesn't work, let me know.

Water does not drain and freezes under freezer draw

I am sending a couple links for the LG manuals but that sounds to me that water is either overflowing into freezer compartment from the fresh food compartment or when the freezer goes into defrost the drain that carries the water out to a condensate pan below refrigerator (Location #105A) has either ice or sludge caught in the drain. Here is the=> LRFD22850 Exploded View then scroll to page 44 where you will see the location number 319A That will be the condensate/drip collection tray where the water from defrost should be going. If the drain location # 105A is the drain assembly, pipe Z coming from under your freezer drawers. Where you say you see the water pooling and freezing. And the Service manual Click Here=> LRFD22850 Service Manual I will try to make this simple but I must try to explain with photos and notes with other links=> Leaking Refrigerators Just What May Be Happening and here=> Leaking Refrigerators! This may take some detective work because as you see any place there is water there may be water flowing down to the area below freezer drawers so look for any water that may be coming even from the water filter area inside fresh food compartment.Even a slight lean will cause the water to pool up and freeze there and close the drain slowly. If you should need parts scroll to page 51 in your Service Manual and on left is the photo location and on right is the part number under the model LRFD22850 then enter the part numbers into search feature here=>

Our lg fridge freezer leaks water on to floor every 2 weeks

If the water is collecting and freezing on the bottom of the freezer then the drain under the evaporator in the rear of the freezer section is plugged.

Water collecting under the freezer drawer, then freezing

We just had a similar problem with our Maytag side-by-side in the bottom of the freezer. Just as you described...sort of a glacier on the floor of the freezer that slowly melts toward the door. After several attempts to remove the ice, only to have it form again, my husband spoke with a helpful sales person in an appliance center. He said there's a drainage plug/line on the back that's supposed to funnel condensation to the evaporation tray underneath. It gets clogged and frozen. Sure enough...my husband pulled out the freezer, opened the visible line and it was all frozen and full of gunk. He had to use a hair dryer to thaw it out, then flushed it. It was amazing how much stuff came out of there. We've had no more problem since.

Leaking water from freezer side-by-side GE refrigerator

Hi, It sounds like the defrost drain is plugged. You will need to remove the rear inside panel in the freezer and unp,ug the drain. Once you remove the rear panel, you should see a collestion of ice under the evaporator coil. Locate the drain hole and clear the ice. Flush the drain hole out with hot water to make sure it will drain. You might have to run a wire through the drain or you can flush water through it with a baesting serienge.

I hope this helsp you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Here is a link to help you resolve the problem I also have an even better link but on-line is moving slow at moment. Anyway you will need to take the part out from back and clean the blockage., Let me know if this helps, Sea breeze

Roper Refrigerator

open the freezer compartment loo for ice build up on floor of frezer especally towards rear behind back panel. sounds like you have a clogged/frozen defrost drain tube. removing back panel of freezer will give you acess to drain trough, melt away the ice with a hair dryer, youll find a drain hole under there somwhere, pouring boiling water down the drain will clear it pretty quickly( i use a steam machine purchased from the infomercials)
