Installing webcam i have a fujitsu laptop with a built in webcam but there is no program on the system to upload the device and no disks came with the laptop. do you know how to install the webcam?

1st You download Webcam Driver.
Why is the software for my built n webcam isnt on my laptop
After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver
Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager s
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

I have not received a response on how to upload the file but here is the link. Scroll down to the download button and follow the directions. Save the file to your desktop and then install the driver. Let me know if you have any questions and let me know if your webcam works after you install the windows 7 driver.

yes, if you click start and go to your programs list, you should have a folder with your camera there. Open it up and run the cam program. Take a "snapshot" of yourself and save it to your pictures folder as a .jpg. Once you do that, you can now Upload that pic to wherever you want to post it to. :)

To check if your webcam is working try this free webcam test tool. If it is working you will be able to see yourself on the test site. Then simply use a webcam program and your built-in webcam will turn on. There are a lot of good free webcam programs you can download. I like the free version of Debut and it works great on my laptop.

I lost my software to re instala my web cam VIEW webcam

Since it is brand new, I'd take it back to the vendor and get it fixed or replaced.

You can always check the Device Manager to make sure the webcam device drivers are installed and the webcam device is listed without errors.
If you need a driver for it, you can check the Fujitsu support site or use a driver finder program.

Sometimes the webcam software can 'hang on' to another program if you have been using it elsewhere. Even if you you have exited that program correctly it can still happen.
With my webcam I can reboot it by unplugging it from the USB and plugging it back in after a few seconds.
As yours is built-in you will have to reboot the whole computer, use a keyboard shortcut, (if the machine has one) or 'disable' and then 'enable' the webcam from the Device Manager.

Normal 0 Right click on My Computer and click on PROPERTIES.
Then click on DEVICE MANAGER, and then click on Imaging Devices.
Next click on the + and then on the camera, right click and then click on DISABLE.
Then click on the Red X in the upper LEFT corner.
Then get out of that and install your new camera.


Make sure to disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
