HI I HAVE TWO OF C5380 PRINTOSMART WITH PROBLEMS WITH THE PRINTHEADS &ARE NOT 12 MONTHS OLD,THERE SHOULD BE A FLYER SENT TO REPLACE ALL PRINTHEADS FOR THIS HP PHOTOSMART C5230. Regards Robert.
PS, HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIND WERE TO GET THESE PRINTHEADS FOR THIS MODLE.

PRINTER REPORTS 'INK SYSTEM FAILURE' MESSAGE 0xc19a0023. Have cleaned everything per HP recommendations, reset several times but problem remains. Do I need to replace printhead?

1.Press '*' key on the key pad, then press the '#' key and release them both.

2.Then enter '123' to enter maintenance mode.

3.then press the right arrow (beside the OK button) until System Configuration menu appears on panel.

4.Then press OK two times to clear the error condition,

5.then cancel two or three times to return to the top menu.

6. Then power off and back on, print a test page

If this does not help you then the printer need to be replaced you can call HP and talk to the Supervisor

Ink System Failure - Photosmart C5380 - 0xc19a0023. Unit has been in home use for over a year and has not given any problems other than cartridge low reports. Could leaving the cartridge in till all ink is...

Solution one: Reset the product
1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product.
1. Remove the cartridges from the product.
2. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
3. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
4. Wait 60 seconds.
5. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button ( ).
6. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.
7. If you receive a prompt to print a calibration page, do so.
8. Reconnect the USB cable to the rear of the product, and then try printing again.
9. If you have completed all the steps listed above and are still experiencing a problem, you need to service the product.
