My DV-220KV-K, which is sold as a Multi Region DVD player has locked up on me. The following message comes onto the TV screen...

Pick out any one of these!
The message remains on the screen ALL the time and I'm locked out of viewing anything. The remote is locked and so I cannot pick any of the region numbers!
I have also tried to change the DVD mode to USB mode, but it won't allow me to do that either.
When I turn the power on, it says ''ON'', then it says, what looks like, ''480P'', then it says ''load'', and finally it says ''rE61'', which I think means ''Reg 1''.
Am I supposed to punch in some kind of code that will allow this to work for me? It is really quite frustrating. It was a very good player for about 4 weeks.

hey. the manual has its region codes. we have the same problem. my dvd player says re61 and i don't know how to key in the code... i tried to press the 4 number codes but doesn't work. arrgh. makes me wanna throw it!

This a a known problem for this specific model, you would have to either take it back to where you bought it from or contact Pioneer for a replacement under warranty.
