Hp LC3760 hdtv lcd will not shut off, switches on and off

Have Directv and I can shut down the box but the lcd tv will go on and off and continue till i hit the volume button - it will stop the switching back and forth. I can only shut down manually. TV is plugged into wall and not into box.

SOURCE: TV shuts down

In response to the "Guest" post on 12/21/07, first, thanks for your reply. Yes, I agree that it's potentially a thermal issue, given that the longer it's on, the more often it happens. However, I have never gotten temperature warning lights to come on in relation to this issue. (Maybe the temperature sensor is broken.) I have a new bulb coming tomorrow, so I can see if that fixes things. If not, the next thing will be for me to pull off the back panel and vaccuum everything out to see if the heat sinks have gotten dirty (and therefore, less effective).

HP said they would allow me to return the bulb within 21 days, so it doesn't cost me anything to try the new bulb.

I'll put up another post with my results later.

SOURCE: HDTV

Shouldn't have to, but HD through the wall connector may be an issue if you are wanting that. I don't know for sure. Almost all tv's made in the last 1 year - 2 years have digital tuners built in

SOURCE: same problem as don5625.my moxi box will not

moz-screenshot.pngmoz-screenshot-1.pngf3b19af.jpg

Is this the style of Moxi remote that you have?
If so try these steps to find your TV
1. Turn on the power to your TV.
2. Press and hold down the MOXI and OK buttons.at the same time until the LED at the top blinks twice.
3. Press the numbers 9910 on the remote and the led should blink twice again.
4. Press the mute button. If the TV mutes then press OK to lock in the code. If the TV does not mute press the up arrow once then press mute and continue to press the up arrow once then press mute until the TV mutes once the TV mutes press the OK button to lock in the code.
*** Note this may take a couple minutes of trying to cycle through the code list to find which one will work with your TV *****

Good Luck...

Upgraded to Hd and tv started messing up. Double images for first 10 minutes and sometimes tv picture goes off and lines up and down.

Your HDTV is capable of up to 1080P resolution. SDTV (standard def) signals are 480i; EDTV (enhanced def) is 480P; HDTV are 720P, (there is no 720i) 1080i and 1080P. Generally, those modes ending in "P" look better than those ending in "i". 1080i is the highest possible for broadcast TV, but BluRay disks and Directv have 1080P display capabilities.

The double picture you're describing sounds like the TV is set to display only standard or enhanced def signals while the Dish Network box is supplying it with HD signals. You should locate the control for the TV's resolution and make sure it is set to "1080P" and then set the output of your Dish Network set top box to the highest output it offers. Do the same for your BluRay player and any other devices, too.

Once set correctly, you should have a great picture once again. I hope this helps & good luck!

How do i connect my directv box to my soyo tv #DYLT032D

  • If your DirecTV box supports HDTV then connect it using either an HDMI cable from the box to the TV (located on the back, labeled HDMI 1,2,3,etc.).
  • If the box is not an HDTV box then connect it with a RGB (red, green, blue) composite cable from the box to the TV.
  • If the RGB output is not on the ack of the box then connect using a standard coaxial cable.

[NOTE] In order for the quality of the picture to be HD, use the RGB for digital (Better), or the HDMI for High-def (Best)

I have comcast and get buzzing from the box when everything is off. Do you have the option of unplugging it and having the t.v. on by itself or will the provider have to come reprogram it. If not, disconnect box to rule out t.v. before t.v. warranty is out.

Directv remote will not program to rca L42FHD37R. What is the code? I have tried all of the codes given by Directv.

"This TV utilizes new remote control signal codes and may not be compatible with your existing universal remote (e.g. satellite box remotes, cable box remotes, generic universal remotes, etc.). Over time, newer universal remote controls that become available should pick up the new TV codes."

No picture/intermitten picture

I just got through explaining this to someone else - the HDCP encryption system that Philips uses is not future-proof - you will continue to have this problem as long as you use an HDMI connection with a Philips TV. My advice, which you can take or leave, is to use Component (Red, Green and Blue) cables. you won't get 1080p, but you will get 1080i, which is pretty close.

Off Air?

The Scientific Atlanta box was a cable box and recieved CATV signals. The Direct TV box is satellite only. You might check if it has a built in ATSC tuner for off air digital signals. Direct TV in most locations offers the major networks in HD format.
