My wii was working a few days ago then I tried to turn it on today and it will not come on. I tried plugging it in to different outlets but it still will not come on. No lights will come on either.

Check video connections on tv and consol. May have wiggled loose. Pull power from consol for a few min. And trtry

Try the lead from wii to TV , take out blow clean and replace .

Wii console's are known to over-heat. Try letting it cool down for a day with no power cables plugged in. Try and turn it on the next day, and if it doesn't work, my best guess is that it over-heated to the point of giving up. And when you plug it back in, blow in all the ports and cables just to be safe. If none of this works, it is either broken or needs more expertise than I can give.

Few things to try:

1. Different Outlet. Plug the console into a different outlet in your residence. If the Wii turns on, the outlet is dead. I would recommend an electrician to fix the outlet.

2. Try a different power adapter. You could purchase another power brick or get one from a friend and use the new one to try and power up the console. Also try in a different outlet (step one) to be sure

3. If none of this works, the console may have just received too much power and burnt out the power supply. Contacting Nintendo. Information below:

If there is no LED on, then the most likely reason is, that your wii isn't getting power. So the problem, is with the plugs, and the power adapter. If you have a friend who has a wii, try testing his power adapter on your wii. Make sure your cords are completely plugged in, on both sides, (the outlet and the wii) then press the power button on the wii. If that do-sent work, try turning it on with one of yourwiimotes. If that dosent work, that means your wiimote is not synchronized with your wii. To sync. it, open the sd card cover on the front of the wii, press the red button above the sd card slot. Then open the bottom of your wiimote, (where the batteries are) and press the small red button that should be beside the batteries. Then hold the wiimote close to the wii,then after its done flashing, press the power button on the wiimote and also, try plugging your power cord into another outlet. If it still won't work, you've got a broken wii, so you better send it to get replaced or fixed, again as suggested. DON'T OPEN IT! You could loose your warranty if you open it, so it's safest not to. Hope you get it to work

My wii has had the problem since the day I bought it, and what seems to work every time is to warm the console up. I don't know why it works, but it does, and it will power on. Unplug it and set it somewhere warm then plug it back in. It's worth a try, hope it helps :)

Did you unplug it from the Wii, or from the Wall Outlet? You need to unplug it from the wall outlet, not the Wii. If you haven't unplugged it from the wall outlet and left it unplugged for 5 to 10 minutes, then unplug it from the wall outlet and leave unplugged for a good 5 to 10 minutes.

This is a common problem with the Wii. Even if it's hooked up to a surge protector. If there was a power surge, or the power went out, etc...anything, this will happen. The problem is with the AC adapter, not the Wii itself, so power to the AC adapter needs to be cut off.

There is a circuit inside the AC adapter that needs to be reset. Unplug the AC adapter from the wall/surge protector outlet. Don't unlpug it from the Wii, it has to be at the outlet. You have to kill power to the adapter.

Unlpug it from the wall/surge protector outlet, and leave it unplugged for 5 or 10 minutes. This will kill power to the AC adapter, and give the circuit time to reset. When you plug the adapter back into the outlet after 5 or 10 minutes, the red led on the front should be lit up.

This has happened to me, what you need to do is remove the power cord from both the wii and wall outlet, and wait a few minutes while the converter box on the cord resets itself. I know it sounds strange, but it works.

Leave the wii power brick unplugged from the wall socket for 15 min then try to plug it back in. This worked for me.
