How can i get rid of a facebook connection to a tv show?

Go to www.facebook.com
Login as usual
at the top of your browser window containing facebook.com, there will be
Home, Profile and Account
If its an application:
Left click account, choose application settings from the list of given options.
Find the errant Tv application and press the x to remove it.
If its a news feed: (Typically if you have something in your profile, eg you've told facebook in your profile that you like the show Friends and you now get spammed with Friends updates, a little harder but here we go..)

Beside every newsfeed item there is the option to hide it, click Hide to not show items from that particular entity anymore.
If at a later stage you want them back then using the "Edit Options at the bottom of your news feed page will allow you to add them back in"

If you totally want to remove an item like this Tv show then you would goto your profile and edit your interests and likes.
Delete the offending entry to have it never come back, or from your profile page can you drag the item just below where it is listed where it says "Drag here to hide" this will achieve the same effect as the original method, but allows you to edit more items faster.
