How to insatll my hp f4240 with out the cd

plug the printer into your computer via a USB cable and turn it on. The "add new hardware" message should appear. Keep pressing "next" and it should search for the appropriate software and install it for you. Good luck.

This is all HP recommends for the HP Deskjet 2460, so I wouldn't suggest buying anything else. First of all it might not fit and second, even if it fits, other issues may come with using those. If you can't see the list here it is:

Below is a link to the driver download. It will be hard to find an actual replacement disk without calling HP and paying shipping.

there is a program called infranview. Download it and use that program. Awesome scanner program.
As soon as you installed it
open it
goto file
and than aquire batch/scanning

works wonders and it is free

For scan the photos nicely and after scan direct you can edit it transformation and resizing the photo by using any version of Adobe Photo shop

when you open that program go to :

File> import >

then an box appear that is contained your Printer Model name and Number

choose your model and click after it a dialog box is appear, just you click on the scan button .. your photo is be scanning correctly

Open the lid on the HP scanner to reveal the scanning surface. Tthe scanning surface is the glass surface on which documents are placed for scanning.

Step 2 Put the picture face down on the scanning surface, using the positioning mark to set the picture. The positioning mark is normally an arrow and it indicates the correct placement of a document on the scanning surface for a good scan.

Step 3 Close the lid on the HP scanner.

Step 4 Press the "Scan To" button on the HP scanner and choose a format for the scan. "Scan to File" or "Scan to Email" are a couple of the choices. Press "OK" and your scan will begin. On your computer screen, a progress bar will let you know how your scan is going. Once the scan is complete, the folder where the file was scanned will appear on screen and you can click on it to ensure the quality of the scan.
