LG WM2277HS - water backing up into soap dispenser

When the wash cycle starts, the water comes in through the soap dispenser fine, but runs too slowly down the pipe that leads to the drum. The water backs up into the soap dispenser and runs down the front of the machine. We have reduced the flow of water from the valve leading to the washer to allow the water more time to run down the pipe into the drum, but it drains so slowly that it takes forever for the clothes to get wet, and it STILL backs up into the soap dispenser and goes out the front of the tray, down the front of the machine.

The first thing we did was pull the soap dispenser out all the way. The water is not draining down the hose. It goes through the soap dispenser just fine. There is something clogging the way between the hose and the tub. But we can't figure out how to get to it. My husband can fix it (contractor), but we can't find any schematics of this thing to find out where exactly the hose goes and how to get to it.

    thanks,

The pipe from the soap dispenser to the tub is quite large, it seems as if the water isn't getting out of the dispenser quick enough. Pull the whole dispenser out of the machine. There is a release clip at the back of the cup with the tray fully open. Clean out all soap residue and scum. Sometimes there is also a spot or setting for liquid or powder detergent. Adjust accordingly. Reassemble and try it again.

Ok no prob. Remove the top panel. Two screws attach it to the back of the machine. Slide it toward the back and you will see the dispenser housing on the front left. The exit hose is the big hose on the back of the dispenser. Remove it and check for obstructions.

WM2277HS front loader , the drawer to put the detergent in is stuck, how do I get it open?

I have slightly different model. Tried the remove the top option. It turned out the the drawer assembly had removable top, removed to two screws that held the assembly in place, uncliped e front assymply drawer handle and cleaned out the soap deposits. Soap build up under dispenser parts had caused the problem. It seems like running the machine a few times might have cleared the soap.

My new LG washer always has water in the soap dispenser, bleach dispenser, and fabric softener dispenser after the cycle has finished. Is this normal?

Mine too!! Very annoying, especially since the water then drains down onto to floor and has actually made the door hinges stiff! I just use powdered bleach now.

The soap isn't coming out of the soap dispenser during the wash cycle. when i open the dishwasher door the dispenser opens with all of its contents still sitting there!

I had the same problem once. Make sure nothing is stacked in front of the soap dispenser when you close the door. Slowly close the door and follow the soap dispenser to make sure it has enough clearance to open.
Let me know how it goes.

Leaking soap dispenser

There should not be suds up that high in the washer. You are experiencing a over sudsing condition and spin is throwing up throw the fill line in the dispenser. Run some fabric softener in a load with no clothes to clean out any hidden suds. Then use only HE (High efficiency) detergent and half of what they recommend! The softer the water the less the soap you use. Sounds like you may be using non HE detergent. My guess if the machine is fine.

Whirlpool Duet GHW9100L pours water out of the soap dispenser dra

probable cause is there is an article of clothing that is stuck between the outer and inner tubs, in the area where the dispenser water and detergent enter the machine. you can run your hand around the rubber boot and you might be able to remove the article, it will be in the upper left part of the machine. if nothing can be found than you have a plugged up dispenser hose.

LG 2077 CW-has IE code issue as well as soap dispensing problems

IE is an inlet error indicating that the machine has not filled up to the correct water level within 10 minutes. Could be a bad inlet valve, low water pressure or a problem with the inlet hoses (do not use anti flood hoses with these machines, use only the included fill hoses).

It sounds like all of your problems lie with the water fill. If the dispenser compartments do not get water added to them then the soap, bleach, and/or softener will not dispense properly. Then it will still be present and may dispense on the next load instead.

It is also VERY important that you use an HE (high efficiency) detergent and the correct amount (2-3 tablespoons per load). Otherwise you could end up with oversudsing issues which can also keep the bleach from dispensing properly.

Also make sure to not use GEL bleach, GEL detergent or GEL softener as they are too heavy and will not dispense properly. If all of these recommendations do not help then there is a definite issue with the incoming water supply from the inlet valves (especially if the IE errors continue). In that case you will need a technician to check the inlet valves inside the machine.

Hope this helps, please rate my solution.

Soap dispenser not working

It sounds like the water valve has a clogged filter.  Shut the cold water to the washer off, disconnect the hose and remove the filter screen in the washer water valve.  Clean out the filter with toothbrush.  Reinstall and everything should be ok.
