Memory card needs formatted is displayed on the screen. Deleted the pictures and it still comes up. Tried to take more pictures and the memory card would not hold. Is there something wrong with the camera or the memory card?

I assume you have an SD card. If it's bigger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and will not work in the ZD710.

No, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong. The card just needs to be formatted. In any mode press the Menu button. Press right-arrow to select the Setup tab (camera and wrench) then press OK. Press up/down-arrow to select "Format" then press OK.

Make sure you format the memory card. It's okay to format the internal memory, of course, but your current problem appears to be that the card needs to be formatted.

I have a Samsung TL225. I haven't dropped the camera, everything was working perfectly fine until suddenly it started to display a black screen that says "file error" in the center when I try to view...

All your pictures are saved on the memory card of your Samsung digital camera automatically. So you can recover pictures from memory card with data recovery software.I have a professional program on my computer that can recover deleted, formatted and corrupted data after deeply scanning your memory card to look for lost data. But you had better have stopped using the memory card of your camera. Because, once the pictures were overwritten by new ones, they are gone for good.
By the way,you may need a card reader to connect the card with computer.Download this program and scan your memory card for free to preview whether your erased photos can be recovered.Get it from http://www.any-data-recovery.com/product/datarecoverystandard.htm

insert card, format card.
goto setting-> select save picture to...-> choose card.

you should see a card symbol on the screen when you take picture.

"Memory full" displays on screen.

You still need to get rid of the pics on the internal memory. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on screen instructions to erase the internal memory. Then, insert your card and it should work properly.

How do I clear the memory card it keeps saying memory full but I have deleted all pictures

Deleting pictures one by one is time consuming and hard on the memory card. Right now you have deleted the images but the memory card needs to be formatted. Always format the memory card never delete what camera make and model are you using and do you have the manual?

Memory card formatted in error

Once the memory card is formatted, the files saved or pictures will be deleted and there is no way to retrieve the images.

I would advise that you transfer the pictures first to your PC before formatting the memory card.
