Just to clarify something, you say that your hand-held VHF can receive a clear transmission from the Uniden, now which of the radios are buzzing, the Uniden or the HH?. If it's the hand-held buzzing try transmitting on the low watt on the Uniden, get some distance from the radio, because if the hand-held are to close to the on the Uniden on high watt you will get a buzzing, the signal are overpowering the receiver of the hand-held, try getting the minimum of 30 feet away. Good luck.

I have the same problem, and cant seem to fix it. I know it has to do with the audio chatching the camera making the noise. Listen, take your camera and turn the function to take a video clip, then listen to your camera. Isnt it making the same noise as you hear on the video clip?

I had the same issue that started on some 3 year old 5.8 GHZ Uniden cordless phones. I moved it from room to room and same buzzing. I found a older Uniden set I had kept in a desk drawer. I swapped out the power transformer (power cord) and it is clear as a bell now.

I Had the same problem.
I found out what it was. The buzzing sound came from the AC/DC charger. I changed it and everything is working fine now !
Try with a AC/CD adaptater, putting it on the right voltage and check if it's working without this buzzing sound.
