One of the problems with a point&shoot camera is that you can point and shoot but not all that much more.

The DMC-LZ2 doesn't give you direct control over the aperture. You can get a smaller aperture (larger f/number) by using the scenery mode, or a larger aperture (smaller f/number) by using the portrait or sports modes.

I need to decrease the size of my flip video (compress). How do I do this?

Get Quicktime. Open it. File/Export. Choose settings that work best for you. You can play around with it after a while but Medium Web will get you about 3 megs per minute and Web Large will get you about 10 megs per minute (which is probably not much better than the flip mp4 codec).

If that is all it was designed for , you can do nothing to change it,unless the BIOS upgrade allows more.

Changing the megapexils in m

You can't change the megapicels of the camera, but you can change the resolution (quality) of the image it captures, and thus give you smaller files and use less space on your memory.

Refer to page 40 of the User guide which shows how to adjust the quality.

Linksys router limits speed to 5 meg.

Try to access the router's setup page and change the MTU settings. The default address for the Befsr41 is 192.168.1.1. Here are instructions:

1) Use a computer wired to the router.
2) Launch a browser and type in 192.168.1.1, leave the username blank and the password is admin or the password you have set when you first configured the router.
3) Click on the Advanced tab then click on the Filters tab. On the bottom part you have MTU.
4) Enable that option and set MTU to 1500, 1400, 1300 (for cable ISP connection) and 1492 (for DSL connection) and check if it will work.
4) If that does not work, you can try upgrading the firmware of your router.
